Spring cleaning is more than just cleaning the interior of your home, it also includes the driveway and the garden.

Fresh Gravel Driveway

Over time, you might start to notice that the gravel on your driveway is starting to look thin. This is usually due to gravel getting stuck in tyre treads. Unfortunately, there is no one size fits all when it comes to ways to stop losing gravel. But you can look at other decorative aggregates that arent the same size as the tread in your tyres.

Our plum slate looks great as a driveway, and the size and shape of this aggregate means that it is highly unlikely to find itself stuck in your tread. Pea gravel and golden gravel are also a great choice for driveways as small amounts can go unnoticed.

Here at D Price & Sons, we offer our decorative stones in Stoke-on-Trent in both standard and bulk order sizes.

Decorative Aggregates For Your Garden

As you start to think about preparing your gardens for the spring, you might be thinking about how you can add some more base colour to your garden. Have you considered some coloured gravel?

Our green granite offers the chance to improve the greenery in your garden all year round. Using this in your borders, helps those brightly coloured flowers to stand out nice and brightly, without the dull coloured topsoil underneath.

Alternatively, we have red granite, which can add a lovely striking colour to your garden. Red granite looks great as a base where your plants of choice are green foliage! In particular succulent plant beds.

Stoke Sand And Gravel

Sometimes you need sand to go hand in hand with your gravel. For example, if you are using gravel for a patio or a driveway, you'll want to have weed resistant sheeting underneath. However, to ensure that very little can penetrate through from underneath, you will want to consider a sand layer, before your sheeting.

This sand layer should hinder the growth of many weeds, along with softening the surface for your sheeting and allowing the gravel on top to have a softer surface to settle on. Like our gravel, our sand is also available in bulk order.

If you are interested in ordering a bulk supply of gravel in Stoke-on-Trent, please get in touch with a member of our friendly team who will be happy to assist you.
